The Quail Lake Community Association development began in 1991 and was designed for 707 single family homes, one-third of them having lake front property. There are four entry gates and the community employs professional security. Quail Lake Drive on the west side and Waterside Drive to the east complete a two-mile loop road around the Lake, complete with a bike lane. The community is made up of eight neighborhoods.
